Vintage Bitossi Aldo Londi Seta Ceramic Vase | 1950s Italian Studio Pottery

A beautiful Bitossi vase by Aldo Londi in the elegant Seta (Silk) décor, produced in the 1950s. The Seta glaze is one of Londi's most refined and tactile finishes — its delicate, silken texture rewards close inspection and stands apart from the bolder, more graphic treatments for which Bitossi is perhaps better known.

At 36cm, Shape 574 is the larger of the two Seta examples available — a format that allows the glaze's subtle depth and luminosity to be fully appreciated. A complementary piece to the smaller Seta example, or a striking standalone acquisition.
