Up for sale is a rare, highly collectible first edition copy of Furniture of Classical Greece. This scarce out-of-print reference volume documents Robsjohn-Gibbings' famous 1961 "Saridis of Athens" furniture line. It is widely used by mid-century modern dealers, interior designers, and high-end auction houses to authenticate original Klismos-style furniture. 
Condition Details:
  • Hardcover Binding: Excellent, clean, and crisp condition. The iconic cream-and-gold geometric patterned cloth covers are exceptionally bright and show minimal to no shelf wear. The corners are sharp. 
  • Spine: Immaculate and near-mint condition. The dark cloth band is strong, the hinges are solid, and the gold-foil stamped lettering remains brilliantly bright and intact with zero rubbing.
  • Dust Jacket: Poor/Fragmented condition. The original jacket is completely split at the spine and folds into separate pieces with some edge chipping and paper loss. However, all fragments are fully preserved inside clear archival protective sleeves and included for structural completeness.
  • Interior: The text block is tight, clean, and solid. Pages are free from writing, highlighting, or significant stains.
