Up for sale is a stunning, authentic piece of Scandinavian lighting history. This is the iconic 'Le Monde' (The Earth) pendant lamp, designed by Carl Thore(pseudonym for Sigurd Lindkvist) and manufactured by Granhaga Metallindustriin Sweden during the late 1960s / early 1970s.

This is the highly sought-after 40cm version, which is the largest size ever produced for this model.

Design & Features:

Sculptural Aesthetics: The lamp features a beautiful Space Age spherical structure made from stacked, curved metal louvers.
Glare-Free Lighting: The layered horizontal slats create a magical, architectural effect. It projects a soft, ambient glow sideways through the gaps while offering direct downlight and uplight onto the ceiling.
Colour: White lacquered exterior with a white interior.
